Arlene Wilkinson, RMT, AT, JSD, IAT, MMQ

Arlene has over thirty five years clinical experience as a Massage Therapist and in Eastern Wellness Therapy. Arlene is a graduate of Sutherland Chan School & Teaching Clinic and has extensive administrative experience with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, with the Ontario Massage Therapist Association, and with various educational institutions providing massage therapy programs.

Her post-graduate training, particularly in Aromatherapy and Kneipp Hydrotherapy, position her well within the spa industry as both a teacher and consultant. For 2 years, she acted as spa consultant & director to the Claramount Inn & Spa, where she was integral in the design & creation of a Kneipp- based Spa.

While living in Prince Edward County, Arlene founded Spaah-go by Nightingales, a traveling natural healing spa – bringing the healing benefits of aroma spa therapy to your door!  Arlene, owner & principle therapist at Nightingales Therapeutic Spa, moved from Prince Edward County to Saint John,NB in 2020. She is currently bringing her many years of clinical experience to her clients of massage therapy and therapeutic qigong at Serene Physique. Arlene created Arlene’s Garden Organics, in response to her clients need for natural home-care solutions.  This aspect of Arlene’s work features organic teas and aroma spa products handmade just for you!

Arlene is a Jin Shin Do Therapist, who received her training with Iona Teegarden, Noel Taylor, Kathy Debucy & Arnold Porter. Arlene teaches Integrative Acupressure Therapy, a modality she developed which integrates the therapeutic use of essential oils with acupressure release techniques.

Arlene completed her training in Chinese Medical QiGong with Wendy Lang, MMQ, International Institute of Medical QiGong, California and has successfully completed the requirements for her Master of Medical QiGong diploma. In the fall of 2010, she graduated from Hanan University, China with her Masters in Medical QiGong (MMQ China).

Arlene is available to travel & teach Therapeutic QiGong in your community! She offers weekly QiGong classes via a Zoom platform. She also provides private assessments, treatments and prescription exercises in person or via Zoom. Individual sessions are both for health promotion and in the treatment of conditions such as chronic illness and cancer.

Arlene worked in partnership with the Sexual Assault Centre of Quinte District bringing QiGong to their Paths of Courage Residential Healing Retreat program for victims of sexual assault.   Heal – Transform – Become Empowered. In 2021, she  worked with the YMCA, Saint John, to bring Therapeutic Qigong to Seniors, in an effort to improve balance and reduce the risks of falls.

Currently Arlene is enrolled in her Doctorate Studies in Qigong and Chinese Energetic Medicine with Noel Taylor, DMQ and Wendy Lang, MMQ. Her study is exploring the healing nature of sound. The ‘Healing with Sound Project’ is researching the relationship of vibration, voice and vitality!
